Happy New Year, everyone!
Yes, the holidays are over, and everyone goes back to work tomorrow. First there was Hannukah, then Christmas, and then the New Years. Yes, here at our house, we celebrate all of the above because we have Jews and Christians and holiday-lovers! Really, who doesn’t love a good holiday time of the year? This year, my brother also visited from Singapore, which explained going shopping on Boxing day instead of staying home like the usual lazy and un-shopperly days we like just hiding from the world.
Next up… Chinese New Year, and if I’m not wrong, that is about three weeks away. Its a little sad that I won’t be in Singapore for Chinese New Year. I was hopeful that after so many years being away from home for the new year, that this year I would be able to spend new years at home, since this year’s lunar new year is considered ‘early’. Unfortunately, it is still not early enough and coincides with school. I really want to be back for the new year. It’s perhaps the only festival that I miss.
Anyway, its back to work tomorrow. I have about half of my piece for Lunar done. Most of it is all sketched out and it is really all about getting things down on paper and making ideas work. Ah, it sounds so easy when I type it out in words, but it really isn’t in reality. Its not like I write out some things, press loadbang and let the programs tell me whether something works or not.
